The Tampa Bay Rays (19-22) defeated the Toronto Blue Jays (20-21) 11-9 on Tuesday night at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The Rays built a 4-0 lead in the third inning, before the Blue Jays eventually rallied to take a 7-6 lead in the eighth inning. The key moment came in a five-run ninth inning for Tampa Bay, when Junior Caminero hit a grand slam to make it 11-7. The Blue Jays got two back in the bottom of the ninth, but the Rays were able to secure the 11-9 win.
The Rays and Blue Jays now meet in the middle game of the three-game series coming up on Wednesday night. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 7:07 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting Inside Pitch at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
