Lightning Fall To Flyers In Shootout

The Tampa Bay Lightning (37-23-5) fell to the Philadelphia Flyers (28-31-8) 4-3 in the shootout on Thursday night in Philadelphia. The Lightning earned a point but lost their third straight game.

Bobby Brink had two goals and an assist to lead the Flyers. The Lightning got goals from Gage Goncalves in the first and Zemgus Girgensons in the second, before Cam Atkinson scored at the 3:50 mark of the third to tie the game up 3-3.

In the shootout, it would be Owen Tippett scoring the game winning goal in the fifth round for Philadelphia to lift the Flyers to a second point.

The Lightning next travel to St. Louis to play the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night - puck drop in that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
